Helpful Hands Cleaning are experts in end of tenancy cleaning.  We carry out work for tenants who are leaving a property, letting agents who are left with the job of cleaning a property and private landlords who are not happy with the final clean that a tenant provides them with.  The general rule of thumb being…. if a property was professionally cleaned before the occupant(s) moved in, then, in most circumstances there is a contractual requirement to have the property professionally cleaned when they leave.  If not contractually obliged, the expectation for the standard of cleaning would be very high.

What is covered in an end of tenancy clean? 

Kitchen – Work surfaces, units and fascia’s, cupboards, drawers, fixtures and fittings, shelves, all tiling, all internal windows, doors and frames, skirting, sinks, taps, mirrors, bins, wall ornaments and artwork, light fixtures, radiators, cobwebs flicked.  All floors will be left clean, whatever the surface is. 

Bathrooms – Bath, shower, shower tray, sink, toilet, bidet, internal windows, doors, tiling, floors, skirting, light fixtures, mirrors, cupboards and shelving, other units, drawers, radiators, cobwebs flicked.  All floors will be left clean, whatever the surface is. 

Bedrooms – wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing tables, all doors and drawers, all glass surfaces, mirrors, internal windows, doors, frames, light fixtures, skirting.  All floors will be left clean, whatever the surface is. 

Reception Rooms/Living Rooms – Cleaning of all units, cupboards, drawers, fixings, shelving, televisions, dvd players, blu ray players, sound bars, surround sound, set top boxes (Sky, Virgin, BT etc), internal windows, doors and skirting, light fixtures.  All cobwebs removed and all surfaces dusted.  All floors will be left clean, whatever the surface is. 

Not Included in End of Tenancy – Professional carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, cleaning of white goods (fridge, freezer, washing machine tumble dryer etc), oven, hob and extractor (deep cleaning).  We carry out professional carpet cleaning using top of the range machinery and chemicals, carried out by qualified staff, but this would need to be priced additionally.  We clean inside of white goods, but again, this would be additional and could also require a couple of visits if a freezer needs defrosting as part of the process. 

We do not carry out cooker, hob and extractors to a spotless standard as this requires specialist equipment and training to use ammonia and acids to remove built in grease and muck.  We do however clean the outside of the oven door (glass), the extractor unit shell and the hob from general spills and mess.  If you require this to a spotless standard where the oven feels as if it is new again then we recommend using a specialist that only carries out oven cleaning.  We can recommend companies, but be aware, their wait times are usually around 1-2 weeks as they get very busy. 

What should you expect when using Helpful Hands Cleaning? 

You should expect a professional clean with very high standards.  We will clean your entire property on a room by room basis, leaving empty or furnished rooms spotlessly clean and to a standard that new tenants would expect to see when moving in.  The property will be in the best standard it can be left in, based on circumstances of course. 

We will speak with you about the condition of the property or furnishings within the property and be realistic about what you should expect from the cleaning.  Obviously, if items are too old or damaged then all the cleaning in the world cannot fix this.  Therefore, it is important to speak about the property and job at hand first, as to set customer expectations.
